It also supplies rapidly deployable, versatile and robust structures to global military and mining markets, and to humanitarian and disaster management organisations including the United Nations, UNICEF, UNPD and the WHO.

Committed to the highest manufacturing standards

​All tents are manufactured at Canvas and Tent’s state-of-the-art 22,500 m² factory in Ladysmith in South Africa.The company also has a 6,000 m² steelworks factory which manufactures steel poles and frames and an in-house frame powder coating plant – all of which saves time without compromising on quality.

The purpose of these facilities is two-fold: the creation of job opportunities and up-skilling of locals; and the ability to mass produce our canvas products and steel poles to the same high standards.

Canvas and Tent was the first tent manufacturing company in Africa to implement the Eton System at its factory, which revolutionised and set new standards for the manufacturing process of canvas products.
